Question Question about 1997 LT1 program

Is the programing the same for the standard 1997 Firebird as the WS6 optioned car ? I just has the Opti replaced by the dealer and It took them five days to diagnose the problem and I am wondering if they flashed the PCM ? The car runs hotter since (acording to the Gauge) dosen't shift as hard and seems down on power. The dealer did say that They were not sure if the warrenty was any good because of "the aftermarket chip in the car" I dont know if they were refering to the LT4 knock module or the PCM When I bought the car last April I was told it was stock by the Ford Dealer who also holds the warranty. I did check the Knock Sensor part # and it is an LT4 Module. So now I am stumped I want the car to run like it did when I bought it. Will the Hypertech help??? Any Advise Please

Thanks

sounds like they reflashed it to stock settings, and the hypertech will bring the temps back down.

Hey Bob

The Hypertech is good to a point. Especially on a stock only motor.

However, if you are going to do ANY type of mods, you would be better served to invest in an OBD1 conversion and buy LT1 Edit. the LT4 knock mudule thogh is not a bad thing.
