Pulling timing for Nitrous, what table?
Pulling timing for Nitrous, what table?
Just as the title says, I would like to know in what Tunercat table and where that I need to adjust the timing for nitrous? I have heard that it needs to be the main and extended maps, at about 80-100kpa, but I am not sure. I plan on spraying from about 3000-6300 in the window switch. Also, its kinda hard for me to buy an MSD timing control setup as I have trhe Delteq system. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

If you don't have Traction control, use those tables to pull timing when spraying. Use the activation input wire on the PCM to activate the retard and use the TCS active output to drive the relay to operate the nitrous. I put all of the safety switches on the input side.
This way, you can run full timing when not spraying and have it pull timing when you are. Do a search, I made a post about this telling what wires to use and how to do it.

The car did have Traction control, but it doesnt now. Would your idea still work?
Also, the nitrous is really only going to be for the strip only. It would be a little too tempting anyway to have in the car all the time, if ya know what I mean. Plus I wanna try and keep the motor together for awhile.
So I really can have 2 separate programs (NA and N2O), and it wouldnt bother me one bit. If doing this way, what tables do I need to change it in?

Yes, you can still wire it like that. ONly difference is the wires will already be in the PCM and you'll just need to cut them. You could just use the activation wire and leave the output wire as is. That way, the ASR light will come on whenever you spray to let you know it has retarded the timing. Just do a search on my name and nitrous retard and you'll find it.

Re: Pulling timing for Nitrous, what table?
Well I currently have gotten rid of all the traction control switches, lights etc from the car.
So my question is, can I just retard the ignition in the computer in the main and extended 3 degrees in the 80-100 kpa section of the timing map? I think this will work, but I would like a direct answer, I hope.
