Programmers/Tuners--- inside please

I have heared with LS1 cars you can set all the emission equip to read the status you want.Example: Air is removed, but you make the PCM say complete. So basically you can remove all of it and still pass emissions.

Assuming this is correct witch I think it is (considering the source) why can't you do it with the LT1 cars?

What you need to do is set them to a type x I believe where it will show a ready status but wont really be installed. And if you have a cam you have to do that with the p0300

I was going to ask that very same question? My buddies 99 went through emissions with flying colors while my 96 fails everytime with EDIT?

I doesnt make sense to me because they are both OBDII so I would assume they are basically the same parameters and such?

I dont think anyone has ever passed using LT1 editing?

Re: Programmers/Tuners--- inside please

OK heres what I have heard needs to be done. I dont personally have lt1 or ls1 edit but this is how my friend passed with his ls1 with no cats or anything. First off any emissions components you have removed off the car need to be turned to a type x dtc code. I believe thats what it is. See most people will just turn the sensor off but it will make the pcm read not ready when you go to emissions. The way he did this is betting setting those sensors so that they will not set a dtc(ses) for instance if you have an aftermarket cam you will most likely get the p0300(random misfire code) what you need to do is cause the dtc to only come on after a certain amount of misfires you will never hit like 999999 or the highest you can set it too. As far as egr and air you need to change those so that they will not cause a dtc but will still read. To do you understand what I mean. Its real hard to describe without having the program in front of me but if there is a such thing as type x thats what it needs to be. let me know what happens
