problems with the ta codes 48 and 32
problems with the ta codes 48 and 32
so i have had some problems with the TA right now im runing what i belive is a stock tune with the belt off the charger. but the new motor im pulling 10deg of timing at full throttle from knock(throw out bearing is on its way out and making a lot of noise? but i sware i heard some slight pinging at full throttle) im having a slight stumble? when going over bumps mostly on right turns (loose wire?) and i just pulled 2 codes i think it was 48 and 32 mass air flow and egr thanks for any help guys
Swap in a known good MAF sensor. Code sets when the sensor isn't working. One possibility other than the MAF sensor is the power supply to the MAF sensor. Check for +12V on the oink wire in the sensor harness connector. Measure between the pink wire and the whit/black (ground) wire.
The EGR code sets when the PCM does not detect EGR flow when it runs the diagnostic routine. Is your EGR system still hooked up?
Neither of those codes should cause detonation (knock).

i have driven for a week now and codes didnt come back i was thinking that the one of the maf wires could be loose causing my miss or stall over bumps but i dont think so any more. as i was backing out of my parking spot after work i started turning the wheel to the right then car died and would not restart a cranked 3 times with no luck.... so i thought could it be somthing in the colum? so as i was cranking i turned the wheel back strate and it started right up. turned the wheel to the right and it died. turned it back strate and it cranked right up....after that it would no longer do it. but i think im geting close... thanks for your help
on your car right near where the steering shaft comes out of the fire wall and next to metal that surrounds the strut is a wiring harness that likes to rub on the steering shaft check it for chafing and bare wires grounding out on the steering shaft , u cant miss the 1in. dia. black wire loom . i will almost bet money its chafing on the steering shaft
