Predator tuning help. What temp to set cooling fans with 160 degree T-stat?

I just got a Predator tuner and a 160 degree Hypertech T-stat in the mail. I am going to install the thermostat to reduce the freaking high temp the car is running at (195 cruise, 230 traffic.)

Anyhow, what temps are recommended for turning on and off the electric cooling fans? I'm shooting for a sustained temp in the 180-185 range.

Also, how good is the Diablo tune? I had a HPPIII+ on my old LT1 Camaro. I neer used their performance tune, just reset the cooling fans and compensated or gears. It seems that I HAVE to install the power tune with the Diablo to change fan temperatures, etc.

Will the lower coolant temp adversely affect the tune/ car? Also, I can only get 92 octane gas here. Any big problems with that?

I appreciate all the help that I can get. I listed my mods to help answer my tuning questions. Thanks in advance!

i recommend turning the low speed fan on at about 192 deg and the high speed on at 195 deg. You dont want that engine operating too cool.

wow thats quite low. I bet your gas mileage would increase and maybe even increase throttle response a bit if you let your engine run a bit hotter. These were my results. I would go no lower then 180 for low speed fan.

Perhaps things are different so far North of the mason
dixon line. Heat is a killer of power down here. And with
a/c on and 75 mph I get 26 mpg in 6th gear.
