Please Help with Tuning (long, sorry)
As you can see in my sig, the car is slow (maybe me). I ran through the gears with my scanner in place and here's what I found.
34-35 Degrees Advance at WOT
O2's stayed at .945 (Left and Right) WOT
It looks rich, and the timing looks dead on. I don't have any way to see knock retard.
Car has new Opti, Water pump, plugs, wires, newer coil & wire, Crane Ignition, fuel filter, cleaned air filter on CAI, and intake gasket.
There may be a header leak, I continually tighten loose bolts, but a few I cannot reach without dropping the starter. I didn't hear it today, but I just tightened everything up...again.
There is a slight miss at idle, but not nearly as bad as before the Opti/intake gasket. I cannot feel any missing or hesitation at the upper RPM range. It is down on power noticeably off and on. Sometimes it feels strong, sometimes it feels lacking.
I have looked under hood/car at night for visible arcs from burnt plug wires and saw nothing.
The Evap system is malfunctioned, it was leaking vacuum at the control valve, so I plugged it until the parts come in.
I looked for a leak in vacuum elsewhere and couldn't find anything ( I used a propane)
My next step is to use a pyrometer and check surface temps of the headers tubes after a run and see if there is a bad cylinder.
Any input is appreciated. I am considering writing to GM Hi Tech also.
