Please,Help! Anybody in here know how to Reset A 97 Hypertech Programmer Plus??

I have searched through each and every thread looking for a possible solution to this particular problem! I have read similar stories about people buying a hypertech programmer with a Vin Mismatch! Every answer i've heard was not helpful! I called Hypertech and they said they couldn't reset it because its to old of a Programmer! I opened up the unit and saw a chip on the circuit board and another chip on the cartridge. I know for a fact that by taking out the battery won't erase anything because its stored on the memory chip! My question is who in here knows how to reset the vin number?? And HOw much would you charge for that service? How long does it take? PLease, Respond ASAP! thanks!

If anyone has a way to reset it I would also like to here about it, I have one that was programmed to a vehicle that was wrecked and could not be returned to factory so it is pretty much worthless
