Playing with FAST. Car is'fa*ting'?
I just installed 75# injectors. I previously had 50# and only spent a little times playing with tuning.
However, after taking the car out for a little run around the block, the car has this muffled back fire. Almost like a f**t. It only seems to happen at tip in.The air fuel ration spikes lean and the kpa results spikes up as weel.
I assume this is a timing issue. Here is the question. Do i want to INCREASE or DECREASE the timing. From memory it is about 36 degrees right now.
SECOND question. We have two fans. Do they BOTH come on when the temp setting is reached or just one. Is the second fan only for when you turn on the defrost or the AC?
In other words, when the "fans come on", is it both of them or just one. My "Fan #2" relay is buzzing and I have replaced the passenger motor once already but I overheated yesterday. Now having said that, I was ideling in the driveway for about 15 mins including taking the motor up to 2500 and holding it there for 1 - 2 mins. Would that activity ALONE cause the car to overheat? What about the buzzing fan relay?

Shaun, the FAST ECU only has control of 1 fan output. I know the LT1's have 2 fans i am assuming the other fan not controlled by FAST ECU is controlled by LT1 PCM? or do you have both fans hooked up to FAST ECU?
As far as the f#rting, That would probably be a better question on www.turbobuick.com where all the FAST tuners hang out!! Hehe......If i recall correctly the FAST ECU Crank Ref Angle should be set to around 50 degrees.
