Which PCMCIA to Serial Adapter Card Works?
bricked my first pcm
Didn't mean to not answer you. Yes, I installed the virtual drivers. Should I have? If I should what port should they be set for? I mean com setting is a tricky thing. Com1 and 3, and 2 and 4, share IRQs.
I did brick the pcm today. I was actually using the Keyspan and it blue screened in Xp. The error was something like serial port divide by zero error. I'm sending it off to AKM and getting it socked. For around $50 he does the socket, gives a few extra flash proms, and ships it back, that's a deal!
I would have bought a cheap laptop that has a serial port but you always have to buy a good battery as well because old laptops never come with a battery that holds a charge.

serial PCMCIA
I have tried several models of serial pcmcia cards and USB serial adapters and been able to conclude that if you are getting a good quality adapter / card then it will work fine with Windows 7 32 and 64 bit , however if you are getting a cheap $9 adapter then its useless. I found mine at www.usconverters.com. Highly recommended. </p>
