Question PCM Question

I have a problem, I have a 94 Trans am 6 speed, when ther car warms up it will stall and backfire, but not all the time. when this happens the tach needle jumps all over the place. I have to shut everything off (lights and all) and it takes a couple of tries but it will start back up and run normal for a while then it does the same thing again. Now heres the fun part, sometimes it will set a check engine light but when I shut it all off the check engine light goes out. Now I have tried to get any codes that it might have set but the check engine light won't even give a code 12 when I ground the A&B terminals in the ALDL connector. When you turn the key to run the check engine light will come on then go out even though the cooling fans are running like they are suspose too when it is in field sevice mode. I do not have a DRB to scan with, Anyone have any ideas??? Thanks Joe

You can't jump the pins on a 94 or later. You have scan it with an OBDI scanner or Freescan and a cable. I bought an Auto X Ray scanner that will cover just about everthing from '81 up. I got it at the local Kragen.
