pcm question

if water got over my pcm in a flood how whould i go about checking to see if it is working properly.
i plan to buy a new one but first i want to check the one i got in case i can save a little money and to get some insight on the pcm.

also about how much do they run and where can i get one

Water would enter through the knock sensor.. open it up and dry it out.
