PCM Junk After Succesful Flash?

I was changing a few things in my pcm. I did three of 4 successful flashes and test drives. Then the last time I changed something, saved it, then flashed it. It all worked great and said successful when it was done. Then I went to start it and it just cranked didn't fire at all. So I looked over the changed I made, changed them back and tried to re flash. It has an eror when trying to communicate with pcm, it either says "No PCM Response receive" or "invalid response from pcm".

I unplugged the battery trying to reset it but im sure it will make no difference.

Think the pcm is junk?

Reset did nothing. Same thing. I have restarted the computer also. No difference.

I dont notice anything not working in the car and it cranks, just does not fire. Odd thing Is i can communicate with the pcm using freescan and datamaster. and the sensors read, temp, and throttle position change based on my foot. Would that all still work with a fryed pcm?

Thanks

if its junk, what do you think my best options would be, junk yard? e bay? post here?

what do i need to look for, 93-95 pcm?

Thanks

If you do eventually need a PCM, it will need to be 94-95 type. 93s are different.

You can get the flash chips in your PCM replaced fairly cheap. Andrew from AKM did one for me with a very quick turnaround time.

That's odd. I would have to guess that something is wrong with your adapter or the ALDL wiring rather than the PCM.

As far as a replacement, F and B-body forum classifieds are the best place to look. You can pick one up for $50-75 if you're not in a hurry.

If you're in a hurry, try your local junkyard or auto parts store.

Same thing happened to me-->junk PCM. If you buy a new one go to oreillys (lifetime warranty), no other place as a lifetime warranty. I even had them price match AZ so i got one for $115.
