I want to test out my laptop with the LT1 edit Free version before I buy a copy of any kind of software. However their website is very unhelpful it merly says "connect the cable to the computer". Well thats all nice and dandy for those of us who know how to find the computer, but I don't!

I have a Hayes book (which sucketh BTW) and it doesn't mention the computer in there at all. How can I find my PCM so I can connect to it?

You need to connect your tuning cable to the aldl diagnostic port under your dash.

Yes it helped immensly, however none of my local computer stores knew what it was. What is a cheap place to get a DB15 > ALDL connection?

Yeah its ad supported, it programs advertisements in your PCM that pop into your stereo while your driving

No I ment it was the Free Scanning tool they offered. It has no editing properties.

Those cables are really expensive.
