Open Loop part throttle tuning

My car is running WAY fat at part throttle, 900mv all the time, no switching at all. Running in open loop, the car idles and runs well but runs pig rich, and gets awful gas mileage, but the kicker is that it is running lean at WOT. Car is stock engine, LTs, off road Y, 58mm TB intake not cut out to 58mm, stock MAF and filter running off the end of the MAF.

If I switched to a closed loop program do you think it would take care of this, or what can i do to fix it?

Thanks
p

I would certainly switch to a CL program first. Then take a good look at your block learns it a bunch of different operating conditions (MAP ve RPM). Sounds like you may have another problem (O2 sensor, MAF issue - was it tampered with?) Running an OL program can hose your WOT numbers as well because the PCM ignors the Power Enrichment table in Open Loop. I'm assuming this is not your Turbo motor correct? If this is on a boosted motor you'll have numerous other issues to consider with a stock PCM.

Re: Open Loop part throttle tuning

Correct, its no on the turbo motor, I had a problem with the 385 for the turbo so that had to come out and I had to put a stocker back in, just trying to get it running right, looking at the other paramaters in OL everything looks fine, but I think I'll make my O2 extensions and put a CL program on it. I normally would try a new O2 first but the car is blowing black fluid out the the back on startup, so I know its rich.

I'm also having another issue, very weird issue, I probably did it, but my reverse lockout solinoid doesnt work, so I have to push the shifter over past it. When i do this the oil pressure and the voltmeter guage drop to almost zero and if the guage lights are on, they dim. Now the weird part, it does this even when I have all the electric disconnected from the tranny. I did a lot of re-wiring beneth the dash for turbo stuff, so i could have screwed up a ground or something, i dunno any ideas? I also keep blowing guage fuses, which is probably related to the oil pressure and votmeter issue

Any thing else you can think of?

Thanks
