oil reset

I changed my oil and after I was done I pushed in the trip/oil reset. But the light didnt blink. Am I doing something wrong?

Did you turn the key to run with the engine off, and keep holding it down? My manual says to hold it down for 12 seconds until it flashes, and the system is reset when the light goes out.
