OBDI Conversion and High Idle
OBDI Conversion and High Idle
Here is the situation. Did the OBDII to OBDI conversion. Prior to this, and
I mean like hours prior the car idled fine. Swapped the knock sensor and
installed the OBDI PCM, fired up the car and I have an 1800 idle. Drove it
around to get to normal operating temp and the idle was 1400.
The OBDI program is from a dyno tune on my car that was flashed to the
PCM I bought and sent to the tuner. The tuned idle speed is 850 as verified
by the tuner this morning. I also reset the IAC. Other than idle, the car
seems to run very strong, although I did not want to push it too much.
Any ideas?
Edited to add that I just put the OBDII PCM back in for a quick test and
the idle is normal, so the sensors on the car are fine and there is no
vacuum leak.
