OBD1 Scanning

I recently purchased a OBD1 cable for my laptop to run FreeScan for my 95Z to find out what code or codes my car is storing. Couldn't get freescan to work. Is there another downloadable site to try? The SES light was coming on after my car started breaking up as I depressed the pedal, then it would it would run fine for awhile, feels like a fuel issue.

Re: OBD1 Scanning

Here is a good site for download. Is your cable USB or serial, what OS are you running, is the driver loaded for the cable, have you set up the COM port in freescan, what are you failing symptoms when you try to run it. http://www.andywhittaker.com/en-gb/ecu/freescan.aspx

Re: OBD1 Scanning

Cable is USB. I don't have a com port setup. That is probaly the issue. I reloaded Free Scan, I will try again to collect trouble codes. Thanks.

Re: OBD1 Scanning

If you get it up don't forget to select' Interact' radial button on main FreeScan screen to get it communicating in live mode. I forgot that in earlier post.
