What table(s) in Tunercat do we have to change to fix the high stall problem in OBD1?

Re: OBD1 High Stall Problem

sorry been gone this weekend.

im sorry i cant share what tables it is. theres one in the constants tables and some and the main tranny tables. if you get a stall i will help you if send the bin file to me. but i cant tell you what the table are because i told the person that told me i wounldnt tell his his secrets.

just a heads up, some people say that some times the fix dont work. but ive had 4400 stalls do great for a daily and preform great at the track. never not been able to fix one from tuning.

Would you charge for this? I'm thinking of getting a convertor but am not looking into higher stalls 'cos of this problem, although my cam likes higher RPMs. This would help out immensely. I've asked about the fix but nobody's willing to say, you're the first person who's actually said you'd be willing to help, I respect you for that bro!

Actually there alot of ifo I found out while searching this issue. First thing I learned is this seems to be a huge big secret for some reason. I have the fix but never had the chance to use it before taking the motor out in preperation for a 383 so I dont know for sure if it wouldve worked for me. My only question after looking at the tables etc is does the fix has it's cons? Does it slow you down etc?

Re: OBD1 High Stall Problem

First off I would like to thank 97z-M6, for his response in willing to help fellow members, there are not too many out there like that. Second, I am thinking of doing a m6-A4 conversion, and will be running an Edge 3800 stall. I am trying to do a little research on this high stall problem, or sometimes referred to as "Stall wall". Is there a for sure fix for this? I am running OBD 1 as well. Also I didnt mean to hi-jack this thread. The question I have asked also pertains to the information trying to be seeked by the thread starter. Thank You!

From the research I did with the search and from everything Ive read everyone will tell you to get it done by pcm4less, Ion, or Fast chips. No one will openly say what exactly it is.

Hey, i'd like to do a M6 swap in the near future, so if you wanna swap tranny's i'd be down, i've had a recent rebuild and currently have a 3200 stall. Just a thought, if you havent already bought an automatic.

Re: OBD1 High Stall Problem

i know some people change to obdII to fix the problem, how hard is it to change to OBDII? Do you have to change the whole wiring harness or could you hook up your PCM plugs to the OBDII pcm and just get a tune with the crank sensor and rear O2's removed? I think that's the only 2 main differences between OBDI and OBDII.
