OBD-II vs. Aftermarket System
Hello. I wanted to know, would it be better to get an aftermarket fuel system or stay with the stock computer and tune that. I mean, can it do what an aftermarket system can when used with LS1 Edit? I'm not concerned about the real time, or tuning while the engine runs. Also, where can I find the burner to burn the stock computer if I decide to stay with the OBD-II? Thanks for the responses.
IMO opinion stick with the stock computer...
I think superchipz in australia or something can do a conversion for boosted applications that use a 2 bar map sensor..
A lot of people in australia, specially some people within efilive are doing greatthings by changing the actual code to the GM PCM...
The PCM is more than capable and is hardware wise better than any aftermarket computer available...
in stock form it can see around 6psi boost or so...

Here's a good description of what an aftermarket system has to offer for the LS1 platform.

I wanted to know if the ACCEL system would work the gauges, the tranny (M6), the anti-theft system, etc. I would also like a website to investigate further on the features. Thanks again! I want to make sure that when I build my combo it will be perfect. that's why so many questions. Thanks
You'd want to retain the stock PCM for trans control and some of the gauges. You might want to give the guy referenced in the article a call, he's done that many times.

Here's a link to download the ACCEL software. You can play with it offline without having to have an ECM connected. (Caution: it's about a 9 MB download).

Not sure what you would need to "control" with the M6... surely you don't still have the "skip shift" active.
You might want to consider the MoTeC ECU.
