OBD conversion tranny fix?
I have a 97 with an OBD 1 conversion done to it. I thought before my rev limiter was set wrong, but when I looked the program over through tuner cat the rev limiter is set way higher than my problem occurs.
I have been fighting this for a while and have done everything from having the tranny looked over to replacing the secondary ign (and opti cleaning). I finally just gave up and started shifting sooner.
Anyway a guy thats into LT1s like myself said it may be because I have an OBD 1 computer and a 3000 stall, he said he heard here that that can cause problems.
My problem is a late shift, acts like it hits the rev limiter right before it shifts (6300 rpm). I cannot manually hold the gear past this either, but sometimes if I let it shift itself it revs past this a little and shifts fine (with a slight hesitation). Its kinda frustrating because I know I have a tenth or two of time if I get this fixed.
Any Ideas?

i'm having the same problem with my 97 as well.
i ended up calling precision industries yesterday for some help, terry was helpful and mentioned after your burnout, shut the car off and restart it. mine shifts fine on the street, just hits the limiter at the track no matter what bryan at pcmforless did, but it did get better.
i still have to get my tranny guy to look at it, since i scanned the run with datamaster.
let me know if you get it worked out, i'd like to know
