Im guessing from all the posts ive read already,....... that you cant just reflash an obd2 pcm to an obd1? You have to start with an obd1 pcm? Doing a cam swap for a guy along with a few other mods and Im probably going to go OBD1 (its a 96). My other question is, i already have a tune for this cam with similar mods for an OBD1 pcm (my car), so I would need an OBD1 pcm I take it but,......the tune is from pcmforless and I was wondering if its locked to my vin #? Ive heard you can change the VIN# in the pcm, but not with LT1edit? I think when the guy downloaded mine he used tunercat to change the PCM VIN because I had a used PCM. Thanks for any input in advance.

Another question, what about the vats? Is this separate from the PCM, or will this be an issue as I still have VATS in my tune. Will that need to be changed to match his key? The value of his "chip" will be different from mine im sure so wont that put it in security mode?
