now that pcm has "learned" it runs like crap

well right after we programed my pcm for my new motor it ran great and had a perfect idle at like 900, now its got about 25 miles on it and seems to buck at cruise(surge?) and when i push the clutch it in goes down to about 600 rpms and runs like it wants to crap out. if im giving it a decent amount of gas it hesitates briefly then runs like like a gorilla who just had a trainer try and put a stick up its ***. ive gotta get some miles on it before i can get it tuned, so would running open loop cure these problems? ive read about it curing the surge problem alot of people have with decent sized cams like me, but ive never read anything about it helping an idle situation. thanks in advance

I would say that running open loop may help the way the car runs until you can get it tuned. Might as well try and see. If you don't have a computer, unhook BOTH O2 sensors to put in open loop full time. For the idle issue, my first guess would be that you IAC counts are too high. You need a computer to get these right on, but try opening your tb blades (adjusting the stop screw) ever so slightly and see if it helps.
