nooooooooo
well this is looking dismal.i've been trying to figure out how to get my check engine light to go off, because i changed the carb and some of the sonnections on the harness are melted.so i've decided to get a holly comander 950 tbi system.and much to my dismay it is looking like that won't fix my problem either.there's gotta be a way to get rid of that light so i can smog it.any idea's.or am i maybe misreading what the system does.cause i've got the instruction book here in front of me and it doesn't look promising.
Re: nooooooooo
i was just gunna re wire the whole engine bay.but i was hoping that the harness that would come with the stand alone system would be all i needed.thats not too big of a deal.and i have no idea what code it is.how do i find out?
Re: nooooooooo
You should be able to short the pins in the ALDL connector to flash the codes on the SES light. Not sure what the procedure is for an 85, but its ***PROBABLY*** the same as the 4th Gen covered here:
