Lightbulb Need some wiring help

My dad and I are building a 1934 Ford coupe roadster with a '96 LT1 out of vette. There are a few things that we took off to make it cleaner looking.

The things that were taken off are:

EGR
AIR
All the smog stuff
It has 4:11 Gears and tall tires

Here is what I'm thinking is going to be a problem. The motor doesn't have the sensor in the elbow right infront of the throttle body. Am I correct on this we will HAVE to run a maf sensor on this motor or can it be computer tuned out?

Also would it be better to run the regular O2's or run SIMS? Performance wise what would be better?

Basically my question is what all will have to be computer tuned out and what do we have to have. What is your guys opinions on this?

TIA
Leroy

I've been doing the swap thing as well, if you write to Ion (he's a board member here) he can fix you up with programming for your swap. He can tune out the rear O2's and you will just run the front ones. His email is tuner@madz28.com and he has his own site, www.madz28.com .

He has helped me a great deal.

Elroy,
it will be easiest and most cost effective to have all the emissions stuff (EGR AIR) deleted thru the computer as well as rear O2's and do whatever else needs to be done at the same time
like the other guy has said, Ion is a great guy to deal with and will be a big help to you

the connection at the intake elbow (like on your '96) is for the IAT sensor, if you buy a new 1LE elbow from a dealer (Kyle, can get them at cost for you) it will come with a new one and clean up the underhood look also by getting rid of the "donkey dong"

does it not have an MAF, or do you just not want to use one?

I know that we will have to run a IAT on it and we can rig somethign up. We dont have a MAF and the guy that had it before us didn't have one. We have taken all of the smog stuff off and used block off plates so they are all gone. I have already advised them (My dad and uncle) that they will have to have the computer reprogramed. We are going to be looking at doing that once we get it all together and "running" at least where it will start.

Steve if you want i'm probally going to take wednesday off and mess with it if you want to come over and check it out. Just give me a call and let me know.
