need some tuning advice!!!!

ok i got 1.6rr, 52mm tb, headers, 24lbs svo, msd ignition, 150 shot dry kit, etc.. ok i need my car tuned and it's running really rich. so should i get a dyno tune are something else. i don't really want to spend $500 for a dyno tune. will a tune from pcm forless do the trick or not??

Yes, dyno tuning will give you the best improvements but it is more expensive than mail-order tuning.

I can do the latter for you cheaply. Email me if you want to talk about it.

Those mods should not require any tuning. Are you running rich when on the juice, or all the time? If you are running rich all the time, then something else is amiss.

If you are running rich while on the bottle, then rich is good, but then again, nitrous is not something I've ever gotten into.

Hope this helps

Not sure you are correct in your assumption that it is the injectors, I ran SVO 24# injectors on a stock 95 Tune and it ran just like stock, no difference what so ever. Perhaps though, they are flowing more than the stated 24#'s, maybe you got a set of 30# injectors?? Or perhaps one or more of the injectors is bad. I'd still go to a dealer or whoever and get it scanned to the bone in order to diagnose it properly.

If you do decide to go for the mail order stuff, make sure they don't lock your PCM. That will just make you dependant on them for later PCM adjustments. I'd actually recommend LT-1 editor or Tuner Cat, do it yourself, its really not that hard and there is plenty of help out there, laptops are not that expensive, probably pays for itself in aggravation elimination costs alone.

Hope this helps and GL

pcm forless said that 24lb svo flow 24lbs at a diferent psi then stock 24lb injectors.

The SVO injectors are indeed rated differently, I copied this from another website http://w3.one.net/~roz/cars/z28/tuning.html

"If you're changed your fuel injectors to a larger size, now is the time to change them as well. If you are using the Ford/SVO/Bosch style, you'll want to multiply their rating by 1.07 (24#=25.68, 30#=32.1, 36#=38.52, etc.). This allows for the lower fuel pressure at which they are rated. In addition, you should multiply the injector offset constants by 1.4 across the table (i.e., adding 40% to all entries). This allows for the different speed at which this style injector reacts to the car's voltage."

That said, I installed a set of 24# SVO injectors inplace of my original stock GM injectors with absolutely no changes to my computer program and the results were ... not really detectable, the computer "adjusted" for them all by it self.

Not trying to stop you from sending your PCM to PCM for less, just trying to shed some light.

Hope this helps
