need help with tunercat
need help with tunercat
ok I downloaded tunercat , and the pcm$ee file and the pcm editor ( but have not sent the $70 to register it yet) all I can do is look , none of the tool bar's will work, can I use this to look at my ecm program to see what I have (as far as a program), and do you have to have any other stuff to use this ( kinda new at this stuff)and how to run it on the car, I have the aldl cable to go tothe laptop ,and freescan, pcm comm, they were pretty easy set up and use, if someone could help me( Ineed the tuner cat 101 for dummy's) anyone that can tell me any info will be greatly appreciated
also I have downloaded a few hot cam files but when I look at them all I see is a bunch of little square's, triangle'sand funny little line's and shapes, is this the way it is suppost to look , or am I using the wrong program ?
If you downloaded tunercat from their site you only have the $42 tdf denfintion file. That tdf is for the 87-91 chevy trucks. You need to buy the tuner and $ee file in order to read your pcm files .You not need the editor that is for "hacking" the file from a gm ecm so you can modify things to what you want(advanced users).Like adding code for a shift light or wideband logging. If you have not register it yet but want to see what does go here for some $42 files http://www.diy-efi.org/gmecm/ecm_info/1227747/
