need help with shift points

I changed my gears from 3.43 to 3.73 and changed the shift points in the tune to shift at 5900rpm and the correct mph. Now at WOT the eng will spinn past the shift points that I set. Would any of you pro's be willing to take a look at my file and tell me what I did wrong. It is a OBD2 LT1 edit file.

Thanks

I have the same problem but it is not because of tuning it's because the transmission is on it's last leg. It just bounces off the 6300 rpm rev limiter after I go past 5900 RPM in 2nd gear. I had to up the line pressure and drop my 2-3 shift points to 5900 rpm to make it shift at WOT. So far so good, just saving up for a rebuild.

You are telling it to start shifting at 5900 rpm. It takes several hundred more rpm to finish shifting.

Exactly. Shift points are something that you need to play with. You definitely can't just set them and them be perfect. Tweak the parameters until it's doing what you want.

Well looking at the tach it shifts now at around 5900 rpm give or take a few hundred rpm on the 2-3 shift, to be more specific for you I think it is at 71 mph though. It takes the tranny .2 seconds to shift I don't think that is a couple hundred rpm's in second gear. I could be wrong though. Like mentioned above it is some thing you have to keep messing with to make it work.

The computer must meet both the RPM and the MPH before it will shift. So I lowerd the MPH table down by 6mph and left my RPM table at the RPM I wanted it to shift at. If you want to shift based on MPH just lower your RPM table.
