Need help choosing a way to go about tuning
I have a 93 camaro z28. Im almost done building the motor. Its a 383 supercharged lt1. Im about to go crazy trying to decide on whether i want to convert my pcm and harness over to 94 with MAF and try to tune it or if I want to keep the 93 system And burn chips everytime i want to adjust anything. I know ill always be upgrading things so i dont know which way i need to go. I dont really know how to tune just yet but ill learn. Im willing to go either way. I just really want some input on what some of yall would do. I really dont know which way i should go, MAF or Speed density with the supercharger. Also if i decide to go with the 94 harness i wonder if i can just use the engine and trans harness an just connect the exsisting interior harness. Please help im getting to stressed out.
I personally would learn on the '93 as is. It's going to take a lot of research, learning and some time to get it right. After that I would weigh the differences you will see going to a 'flashable' '94-95 MAF conversion and see you really need to. With a 383 supercharged setup you the SD tune may work out the best.
pick up a moates ostrich and tunercats and you will be set to do real time tuning on your 93,, way better than flashing a 94-newer ecm
