Need to compare a timing table for a larger cammed motor
Re: Need to compare a timing table for a larger cammed motor
Thanks for the advice and insight. When the car was 100% stock it had a lot of knock at WOT with a stock tune, I tuned it out, maybe I need to swap in a new knock sensor, I already have LT4 KM.. Be a few weeks before I mess with.
Re: Need to compare a timing table for a larger cammed motor
I compared that first table that Airborne posted to that in the trucks LT4. WOT timing was about the same, the truck actually had a little more, but the mid range in the 2200-3000 range and 70-85KPs was about 4-5 degrees lower that what was posted. I added timing in the midrange to almost match that in Airborne and now it actually pulls good even after the shifts when the rpms drop. It was pretty doggy after the shift till the rpms got back up above 3k! Guess I'll add a little more and see what happens, so far no knock at all in the truck. The cam is a bit smaller in the truck than that of the TA, cam specs in sig...idle timing is at 25-27* in the truck.
