my speedometer is possesed

ok well i just changed gear ratio's in my rearend from 4.10 to 3.23 and i used tuner cat and the $EEB pcm definition file to reprogram the pcm and now the speedometer goes crazy. freescan tells me the correct speed for my rpm so the pcm is gettin it right.

Why would my speedo not work anymore??

One possibility is using $EEb when your car is $EE.

$EEb is for an older less used PCM revision code 'B', $EE is for the later revision 'C' and above. By the way I had the same problem on my 94 Z28 using TunerCat and the correct definition file $EE. I modified the rear setting and changed the 'tire rotation per mile' setting. The speedo dial ended up swinging from 0 to 180 mph at startup and reading 50% low while driving. I went back and used the tire size options instead of revs per mile and it corrected the speedometer problem. Since redoing fixed it I never went back to see what was really wrong. I have the 4L60E A4 with 3.42 rear, 245-50-16's my Speedometer scaler is 28.0, fraction is 1.01, scantool is 46.19 and time BT pulses for stop is 32.49. You have a M6 tranny w/3.23 but your readings should not be far out of wack with these ranges..

i was trying to correct my mistake but when i was reflashing it a comm error occurred and fried my pcm

i'll try it again with the $EE definition... when my new computer comes in.
