MIL delete through wiring harness?

Would clipping the D9 wire out of the Blue ECU connector eliminate the MIL flashing up on the dash? This is on a 95 car running a bastard hybrid of Megasquirt running the engine and the factory ECU controlling the rest of the stuff.

Yes, cut the wire or pull the bulb out.

You will want to program out the trouble code for it, as it will set one because the lamp is not there.

I think once you remove some of the functions from the stock PCM, like the injector control, it becomes a moot point. It depends how much of the stock PCM he is still using.

If he's running the fuel off the Megasquirt, he's already got a code for the injector circuit, and if he's using the ignition control, he's got a few more. I have at least 10 codes in my stock PCM, but the fuel AND ignition are running off an aftermarket ECU. My PCM only controls the IAC, fuel pump, fans and speedometer. At one point, I had the things like EGR, AIR and EVAP running off the PCM, but those systems seem to have disappeared over the years. Its also usefull for providing readouts on things like coolant temp, O2 voltages, etc via the Scanmaster.

-MIL (wire cut)
-MAF (deleted)
-knock sensor (deleted)
-injector circuit (running off the MoTeC)
-IC Module (deleted, ignition run off MoTec)
-skip shift (T56 replaced with TH400)
-reverse lockout (no T56)
-AC signals (AC deleted)
-EGR solenoid (deleted)
-EVAP solenoid (deleted)
