MALF 16: Lo-Res Fail

Can anyone tell me what this code means?

Also to avoid stupid questions like this, can anyone tell me where i can find a database of all the codes and their meanings?

Thanks!

I know the haynes manual has a list of all the codes in it, not sure where to find them online. I think that res is something around the ign module/coil or something like that.

That is a low resolution code from the optispark. If your engine still runs, it was an intermittent thing, because it will not continue to run with the problem occurring. Your opti may be getting ready to go or you might want to check the harness connection for corrosion, especially on the opti end.

There is a link with a full listing of all the diagnostic codes on the right hand side of my Tech Page.

Could this code have anything to do with me "chipping" the plastic around the opti end of the wiring harness, and me running mid 15's at the track with my mods?

And yet again, shoebox

I am humbled in your wisdom!

If there is any way the terminals might get together, then it could be a potential issue or if any corrosion is present.
