mail order tune vs. DynoTune

Ive got a few options. In a little over a month I should have professionally ported heads and the crane 227 cam. I could get another tune from MADZ28 or I could convert to OBD1 and use my buddies tuning software. Since I've already bought from MADZ28 2 months ago, if I get another tune from him wont it be only like 50 bucks or something? How hard is it to switch to OBD1 and how much would that cost?

The OBD! way might seem good, but then when smog time comes, i'll have to swap in my OBD2 pcm and then i might not pass since that pcm wouldnt be tuned for the cam/heads and all. So I'm kind of leaning towards just getting another MADZ28 tune, what do you guys think?
