MADZ Tune ?

Ive got a tune from Ion and was wondering what changes he ussually makes to the file? Im comparing it to a stock bin and im not seeing any difference in the PE, VE and Spark tables. there are some small changes in knock retard table but other than the change in injector size thats about it? do mail order ussualy touch anything else?

A mail-order tune probably won't touch the VE/MAF tables, they are too specific to any particular setup, and the fuel trims will make up for minor to moderate differences in airflow anyways. Also, the injector constant can be tweaked to get the fueling more in the ballpark without the need to touch VE/MAF.

The spark and PE tables would only get updated if you requested some sort of "power tuning". They usually sell that with some sort of disclaimer about using only premium gasoline.

Other than that look for changes to the idle speed, rev limiter, fan-on temps, knock retard, and emissions/DTC codes.

I would ask Ion what he changed. Then you would know for sure.

Sounds like he leaned it out with the injectors.
