Ok, I finally got my tuning cable, but I need some software. I'm probably going to end up getting LT1_Edit but can anyone hook me up with something for the interim?

And does anyone here do any lt1 tuning? What do you use and all that, hook me up with some good info. Is there any good sites?

 

im using tunercat have yet to tune an lt1 yet though no.

 

PCMforless is a solid option. I am extremely happy with them. Bryan will take care of you. Price is very good also!!!

PCMforless is good but he said he got a cable, so I assume he wants to do his own tuning.

Tunercat or lt1 edit are the two choices basically.

Both will get the job done, I prefer tc due to the price and not being vin locked.

Good point, but you need the cable either way. You can really get ahead quicker If you have PCMForless provide your base tune and then see where you are. All you have to do is provide info and get unlimited updates for revisions. It only took Bryan 3 tunes to dial in my car. My car is tough to tune, blown, unique heads, large cam,etc., and at very high altitude. I didn't even get him scan info yet either!!!!!Tuning can be hit or miss at the expense of high dollar parts if you mess up real bad. It's a good investment either way you go in my opinion. Tunercat is less user friendly than LT1 Edit, but costs a lot less. If you go on your own I say LT1Edit, with help I would choose PCMforless and tunercat.

 

I did exactly that. Got a base from Madz28 and then changed that one into mine. It really helped beside that i didn't have to work with the whole lot of stuff i really don't know about. Only worked on Fuel curved and timing a bit.
