LT1 transplant w/ A/C
LT1 transplant w/ A/C
I am in the process of putting a 95 Vette LT1 into an 85 Chevy C10 truck. My question has to do with getting the A/C to turn the fans on when the compressor kicks on. The Vette uses the following inputs & outputs to control the A/C system:
A/C request (which goes through a cycling switch)
Compressor clutch status
High side pressure sensor
Coolant temp
Fan relay controls
Compressor clutch relay control
I have deleted everything except coolant temp & fan relay controls. If I connect the clutch status wire, will that be enough for the computer to turn the fans on? Or do I have to connect the a/c request & let the computer turn the clutch on?
