If someone a friend was to send me a tune he made with LT1 Edit would I be able to adjust that tune after uploading it to my car, using Tunercats? Also after searching the only thing I learned between the difference between the two is one is cheaper and one has a fancier interface. Is there anything else seperateing the two?

 

You'll have to change the file extensions.

 

OBD-I Tunercat will open .lt1 files, which I think is what LT1_edit uses.

 

You can open and directly edit lt1_edit files in Tunercat. I don't know what the latest version of lt1_edit has to offer, but with the 3-4 year old version of lt1_edit I have, today's Tunercat is noticeably superior in terms of parameters that it can alter.

I also think you shouldn't have to pay for updating buggy software after initially paying a significant chunk of change; a reason why Tunercat's software is clearly a winner in my opinion.
