How much is this program. I have heard around $500. If this is so that is crazy.

 

$550 to be exact. An alternative would be to convert to OBDI and use Tunercat which is about $90 for everything you need. There are also free scanning tools available for the OBDI.

 

will tunercat work with obd2? why not just do this instead? i thought obd1 wasn't as good because you couldn't modify the parameters.

 

Tunercat does not have software for the OBDII yet. They are working on it supposedly.

If you're talking about your LS1, then you cannot convert that to OBDI and your only option right now is lt1_edit.

Yes, you can change the parameters on the OBDI just as you can on the OBDII.

 

So madwolf what does it take to convert to obd1 on a 97. Please include a ballpark price if you could. Besides being able to program cheaper what is any other reason to switch over.
