LT1 edit not connecting to car pcm

I bought LT1 edit that is pcm locked, it will not connect to my car's pcm. I have a serial to usb adapter, do I need some type of usb driver download to make it work or do i need a belkin adapter with the box?

What is the error you are getting? My guess is that your USB adapter needs to be configured properly.

I will check and see Ian. I bought an adapter cable from Wally World and loaded the CD that came with it. I am sure it is something simple, I am retarded when it comes to computers.
