I use LT1_edit version 2.2. App... 97ssM6 383 D1. I think you can purchase an extra option for engine sensor monitor. I would check these important features with the Jet option...
LT1_edit allows setting the MAF high frequency threshold which will usually max with FI applications. OBD2 can clip injector on time when this value is exceeded.
LT1_edit allows BLM set @1 in WOT mode.

No, I did not purchase extra scan tools and software from LT1_edit. May I suggest... scantool.net
Low cost about 200 dollar with LX tools.
Also, I did alot of tuning with a DynoJet wideband. A good AFR tune tool but pricey. An AFR tool is the only way to know what is going on in closed loop and WOT mode. Good luck with your new endevors.

I use one. Great tool, takes a while to wire all the stuff up but you won't be disappointed.

anyone have any thoughts on the jet tuner? Ive been searching for reviews and such for a few days and have not found any from LT1 users. I need a tuner for my car and am undecided if i should get LT1edit or the JET DS tuner

Lt1 edit is $450.00 for one vehicle plus $100.00 per additional, and it only runs on OBD2 96/97 LT1's. A while back Jet purchased the TunerCat ODB2 software and renamed it to Jet DS Tuner, so TunerCat OBD2 is no longer available however they still support the old grandfathered owners. Jet supports the new owners and software. The Jet software licenses is $376.00 (Jegs) and is good for 4 vehicles plus $100.00 per additional, but it works on multiple GM ODB2 vehicles including F-body LT1 and LS1's. I never used LT1 edit, but the users say its easier to learn and has a better GUI interface than Jet DS. A lot of the now diminishing LT1 professional tuners liked LT1 edit and it was popular till TunerCat started moving in with lower pricing and expanded licenses for the DIY crowd.. I use TunerCat ODB1 and am happy with it, it's a matter of user preference. Have you browsed the Jet DS / TunerCat OBD2 forum ? http://www.monodax.com/forums/tunerc...ware-software/
