LT1 Edit Comm Error

I'm trying to read the PCM out of my 97 T/A, and I'm getting a comm error 10, while it tries to establish a link. Anyone know what this could be?

Re: LT1 Edit Comm Error

For an update: I switched the baud rate of the comm port down to 19200 (I don't think this affected anything) and clicked on the detect crystal frequency for the port. It came up at around 14~ Mhz, when it was originally set at 1.5 or so. It seems to be communicating now, but it gets interupted with a communications error and the progress bar still reads zero. How long should it take to read the PCM? I have a Sony Vaio Centrino 1.8Ghz, it's brand new.
