Where do you people buy the LT1 edit software and the cables and all that stuff because i have never seen anything on any of the regular F-body sites. Also i am wondering if i end up running the turbo application i want to on my car, if everytime i adj the boost if that is going to require the computer to be recalibrated?

Yes, if you boost the car and increase boost later on, you will need to pull more timing. You will also have to play with fuel, since these cars run a 1bar MAP sensor, and wont natively run low imp injectors, those are a couple more problems.

Unless you are rebuilding the engine (low compression) you will be very limited in how much boost you can run, with or without detonation anything over 550 HP and you are probably going to nuke the engine at some point. A local guy was running around the 600 HP mark and bent rods and of course then lost pistons, I dont remember if that destroyed the block or not.

Ya i have been researching the self-programming alot because i would like to be able to play with things in the car once i put the turbo on it but i am more than a little worried about frying the PCM and i am def. still learning on the programming end so i am not sure i would even know what i was doing when i had the program in front of me. I think i may just have the comp professionally reprogrammed the first time once the turbo setup is on and then just save up and buy all the things i would need to program it including an extra computer so i can program that one and if something goes wrong i can reinstall the prof. done one and still be able to drive the car.
