Question ls1 edit

sorry for the long post.
Hello everyone I am new here and I have been spending a lot of time reading posts and learning from you all. I have a question about ls1 edit that i am sure someone can answer. Lets say I have a FI setup and have tuned it with ls1 edit. I live at an altitude of 5300ft and lets say I go to somewhere around sea level will I need to reprogram or will my previous program work at a lower altitude. I am wanting to start out with the ATI HO tuner kit with headers and duals. I also wana install some 42#injectors and an inline pump. I am planing on a spec. stageIII clutch (carbon) and an slp steel drive shaft. who knows where I will go from there but any input on my choices and the question will be greatly appreciated and buy the way you guys have some sweet rides and i am using this site to pick and chose my parts. you guys rock! There is also a guy in my town with a viper and hopefuly i can make him someday!

First of all, the black dot on the envelope means that you posted in this thread... so I'll now see a black dot on the envelope next to this subject too.

Second, I don't know much about forced induction... but I do know that boost will affect your manifold pressure... and that will affect how the MAP sensor is used. There are alot of tables in the PCM that use the MAP sensor to calculate, so that will already make things a bit different. I'm sure there is alot of info on the board on what to do for that though.

But, with an altitude change that big, I think you would want to retune to get the best performance. Big difference in barometric pressure, affecting MAP sensor, etc. On a NA car I don't think you would need to worry that much, but I think on a FI car you will need to make a few changes. Of course that could be as easy as just writing a new file to your PCM once you figure out what needs changed... Or you may need to tune on a dyno, no clue.

You will not have to tune your car for any altitude changes, the stock computer adjusts the fuel to suit.

You will need the LS1 editor to allow you to use the 42# injectors.

No comment on the ATI HO tuner kit ... just don't know.

Hope this helps
