looking to do my own tuning??

I am in the works of installing a turbo kit on my lt1. It has come to my attention on the FI board that tuning is going to be an issue so i am looking to set myself up with some tuning ability. I am wondering what exactly you would suggest i get to be able to do this. Obv. i need a laptop, but beyond that....datamaster, tuner cat....what exactly do i need as far as cables and anything else.

Hey. I live in Bossier. Small world. Anyway, I would post over in the Forced Induction forum if you haven't already done so. Some of those guys have single and twin turbos on their cars. Maybe one would email you his .bin file. That would give you a great starting point. Since you are OBDII you need a pcm editor for that. I am OBD1 and most people use LT1 edit or Tunercat. Check to see if either have an OBDII version. I think one of them make one. I recommend Tunercat if you can get that in OBDII.

On a side note: You wouldn't happen to be in the market for a Borla Catback exhaust? or know someone local? I have one for sell. Shipping this thing would be a pain. Pics of it in my link below.
