Learn enabled on LT1-Edt??
I noticed that using pcmcomm logging software, that there is a line that reads "learn: disabled" and I was wondering if that is a real option and if learning can be enabled using LT1-Edit? This seems unlikely, but it would definately be nice if it can be enabled!

I believe that it says learn is disabled in both open and closed loop operation. Does it seem possible to turn this function on? Especially, because the car is running rich with the blower on it and I was just thinking how nice it would be to just turn learn on and solve this annoying problem!

You cannot enable learn using LT1_Edit. It does not provide access to the enable parameters. I think they include time since startup and coolant temp? Anyway, "learning" makes no sense under WOT conditions. Learning depends on the O2 sensors for input. The stock sensors are "lambda" type sensors and cannot be used to measure AF ratio except at 14.7:1. Since you want to be (way) richer than that under boost this function will not help.

Learn is automatically enabled when the car reaches a certain temp, there is also a certain temp if you have cold MAT.
If your car is not entering closed loop normally then something is up, which you would know of if you have a SES, what program is telling you learn disabled?

Re: Learn enabled on LT1-Edt??
My 96 with OBD1 PCM is showing "learn disabled" data.
I had a bad O2 sensor which I replaced with a new GM part and all the O2 sensor data is fine now. I cleared the codes and have run it 4 complete warm up- cool down cycles and it still says "learn disabled" on my LT1 Edit pcmcomm program. What now?
Sorry about digging up this old thread but I cannot find much info on this topic with a search.
More info including data in this thread
Thanks for any help!!!
