leaning out idle cc305
if in close loop i'm guessing you can do this using your MAF calibration tables. check what you afgs is at 0% tps and 0 mph. assuming you know what your BLMs are you can see if your currently running rich or lean at idle. to make the car leaner make the numbers in the corresponding MAF section higher. log the car so you don't get any knock after.
here is a good post with a LOT if info:

If you're in closed loop theres really nothing you can do. But i'm going to tell you something that will go against what you would assume from the smell of the exhuast. You arent running rich, you're running lean. Usually its the two cylinders next to the pcv valve, i like to place a restrictor in the line or make my own fixed orrifice pcv valve piece. Your blms will also be split most likely the left side about 8 numbers higher than the right or something like that. You can go into the individual cylinder trims and pull a little fuel out of the front two cylinders (couple %). Then add a little bit of fuel to cylinders 3 and 5, it wont have to be nearly as much if you put a restrictor in the pcv line like say a 1/16" hole.
The problem with these cars is that they tune to a fixed idle afr its hard wired in, sure you can do the pe idle mode but i run a larger cam than the 305 and drive it 500 miles a week with no foul smelling idle and no pe mode at idle. The reason it smells rich and burns your eyes when you're running lean is because its taking the average fuel ratio for one side if the pcv valve is feeding air to cyl 3 and 5 they are running really lean compared to 1 and 7. So what it does is add fuel to the entire side and makes cylinders 1 and 7 really rich, and then 3 and 5 are still lean. You get the rich smell from 1 and 7 and the eye burning from 3 and 5 still being lean, BUT on average the afr satisfies the computer.
You can verify all of this with your spark plugs color after idling, or you can just try a small adjustment and your exhaust smell should improve. If you just want to get your blms in line, go into the ve tables where your car idles map and rpm wise and make adjustments your blms will come around but the car will still reak of gas, theres fixing the blms and then theres fixing the problem.
Also if your timing excessive like say 26 degrees or so this will add to the problem. What you smell that burns your eyes is related to combustion chamber temps, they are created just on the lean side of stoich and when temperatures are high like when the combustion event starts a little too early.
