Question Knock Sensor

I have a 94 Trans Am with a LT1. The Knock Sensor harness is broken, the wire is actually broken off the sensor. What would this cause as for as the drive ability of the car. I've been chasing a misfire for quite a while. Could this be the cause of part of it?
Thanks

Re: Knock Sensor

It would cause a DTC 43 and you would not get full timing advance, making the engine a little down on power. It would not cause a miss.
