Knock retard

I have what I think to be false knock. Usually starts when you start doing WOT runs. It starts acting up when you floor it, at right about 4000rpms it starts pulling timing out up to 8 degrees for a total of 28 dregrees instead of 36. It doesn't seem to be knocking at all when I disable the knock retard and set it at about 35 degrees. After I make a pass or two at WOT ABOVE 4000rpm it starts pulling timing out at even part throttle. Should I try an LT4 knock module? I don't have headers or an exhaust leak. What have you guys done in the past who have experienced false knock?

Re: Knock retard

Try the LT4 KM or put in some race gas to see if it is really false or not.
