killed my pcm with efilive
So i got my Efilve in the mail yesterday and after setting it up and saving the stock tune, i went to start turning a few things off (egr,air, speed limiter...)
i just wanted to get rid of the ses light at the time so disabled the egr and air pump. then i saw the torque management section so i preceded to change a few things in there too. i pretty much did what i could to just turn it off.
after that i raised my rpm limiter up 100 and did away with the speed limiter.
i saved it then clicked the "Program pcm operating system and calibrations" it started loading the tune then ran into some kind of error where is kept "retrying blockhead." after 15 min of that, i finally decided that it was stuck and stoped the flash (which your not supposed to do!)
the car wouldnt start after that so as a hope to return things back to stock i opened the stock tune i saved earlier. efilive came up with a warning like "some calibrations are out of spec. do not load this tune" as im thinking where the F!@# were u 20 min ago! so i closed everything and opened up my stock tune sucessfully. i tried to load that one in but it couldn't connect with the pcm.
My questions are:
1) is there any thing i can try to save my pcm?
2) what could have went wrong in the tuning process that killed it?
3) can anyone look at the tune i wrote and see whats wrong with it?

This may be 100% unrealated.. but may be a good time to start a poll:
1) I have programmed over 200 sessions, 150 with a IBM 2core laptop (new) and ~50 with and old IBM 230mhz.. using the same serial cable (homemade) using LT1_Edit "PCM Prog".
2) Have heard or seen 0 complaints of programming with EFI_LIve, then again, havent looked for any.
3) Have heard or read problems with people programming with Tunercat PCM programming software and is the only reason I stay away from it. Have also heard of LT1_Edit problems however may be less than Tunercat.
I'm a BIG fan of Tunercat editing software and use it for complex editing.. but because of the success with the LT1_Edit prog software... I cannot justify the risk trying something else (0% Failure out of ~250) I also experienced two "low batt" situations using LT1_Edit which were resolved by charging and resetting the PCM (my fault trying to program PCM in -5c temps with no charger and 2 weeks sitting in garage).
I know this is biased towards LT1_Edit but you have to admit that's ALOT of programming. I have the files to back it up.

i was able to upload some of the information that was stored on my pcm yeasterday and everything was WAY out of spec. almost everything was maxed out and some stuff wasn't even there. i tried to upload the stock tune back in one more time but it said the pcm was in an unknown state and wasn't calibrated.
so i am buying another one today off ebay and will try it again. i freaked out at first cuz i thought i had made a $600 dollare mistake but it turns out its only going to be $95. it still sucks tho...
