pcm

i found the best way is to build a desktop programmer. i went through about 5 pcm's before realizing in the car flashing is more trouble than it is worth. i have done my pcm about 100 times and have not had 1 problem. if you need schematics let me know. it is very easy.

theres a big difference. Ive taken out 2 pcms using the windows version.. never with the old DOS though which is what i use now exclusively. but the problem could also be your computer. i cant use the DOS boot disk that i use with my desktop, with my laptop b/c the laptop always screws up. so even the DOS isnt fail safe. then it can even make a difference which PCM you are using which sounds funny but its the truth. i have an old spare that ive flashed using the windows program about 100 times and never even had a glitch but then ive lost 2 on the first try. one of them i had Madwolf socket for me and ever since then i cannot use the windows program b/c it will fry that pcm..success rate was like 1 in 10 trys or somewhere(not a big deal of course b/c its socketed but still a PITA) around there before i got a hold of a DOS boot disk. now ive flashed that pcm about 5 times with the boot disk and its still alive.
